My transmission wentout AGAIN

This is the 4th time. Most people don't ever have to deal with the transmission let alone 4 damn times.

Im a single mother with 3 kids. Everytime this has happened to me its around the holidays and im left stranded. Now Aamco doesn't want to help me?? I'm completely disappointed.

Obviously you guys have NO clue how to fix my transmission if it continues to go out. Something needs to be done. Y'all say you're the best??

Warranty this and whatever that?? Its all ***

I am in the same boat. My transmission went out the first time a year and a half ago, a year after that it went out again and now 5 months late it went out for a 3rd time.

I almost wrecked my car do to it taking off in speed then it can't go into park or *** gears. Mind you the did repair it free the second time and I hope it will be the same this time.

It is shotty work and every time it gets worked on it takes close to a month to fix and a month without my van I have 4 children to get places and a job. Its extremely upsetting

Terrible service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I took my truck in at the beginning of September and they started working on it after the 11th. What was supposed to be a week has taken over a month for them to fix because they also wrecked my truck when they put it on a hill with no transmission and did not block the wheels and it rolled into another car. So now it is in a shop getting fixed taking longer, and on top of that he told us that he would not charge us more than a certain amount, but then charged over. So I have been out a car for over a month now with them telling us they can't help us or take any charges off even though they wrecked my truck and they still have it. On top of everything else, the customer service was TERRIBLE and they were extremely rude. I have tried calling corporate, but I keep getting voicemail and I NEED TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE! This is not acceptable. The management at this office I went to is of no help to me, so I need to go higher.

Faulty parts

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
In October of 2017, I purchased a coolant fan for my 01 Jeep. I picked my vehicle up on Friday and by Monday or Tuesday I was taking back to the service center. Apparently, the fan was bad because it sounded like an airplane taking off. A new fan was put in my Jeep. Here it is less than a year later and I experienced additional problems with the fan. The part is under warranty but I am stuck paying labor. I understand you limited labor, but when faulty parts are sold and the customer had experienced problems with the parts you sold them previously I feel Aamco should work with the customer regarding labor. I feel as if I have been taken advantage of and the replacement pair is going to fail and I will be stuck paying you for labor again.

So a couple of weeks ago I took one of my company trucks to AAMCO Transmission for some repairs. They told me my transmission needed rebuilt. They told me it would take a week to rebuild it and that the cost was $3200. I said that's fine go head and fix it. So a week goes by and I never heard from them. I called the guy and he told me the mechanic was about finished and it was ready for the road test and he told me it should be ready by 5pm. So I headed up there to pick it up and see it is back on the rack. The manager told me it still wasn't ready because it wasn't shifting right. A couple days go by and the manager calls me and says it looks like the starter on the truck is new. I say yes my son put it on a few weeks ago. He told me it now isn't working. Okay that's funny its brand new how could it just stop. Well a long story short they replaced it because it was under warranty from autozone. Well finally after 2 weeks I finally got the truck back. Well yesterday it started making a funny noise from the transmission and then stalled out mind you it only has less then 150 miles on the rebuilt transmission. So I had it towed back to aamco. They called me and told me that the flywheel broke and that it would cost me $1200 plus the tow. I asked to speak to the mechanic, He told me it wasn't there fault. I said I never had a problem with the truck until now but he didn't seem to care. So then I call another transmission shop and explained the situation and they told me aamco could very well have caused the problem. All and for them to replace the flywheel it would only be 650

After contacting AAMCO headquarters the local service center did a proper cooling system test for pressure after fixing a bad clamp (they had installed). So far the system has been holding up.

I was able to contact national headquarters at AAMCO. They took my information and got back to me.

They contacted the AAMCO on Amherst St in NH, the owner and the manager. In response they did a proper cooling system test for pressure after fixing a bad clamp (they had installed). So far the system has been holding up.

It helps significantly to contact AAMCO headquarters to get their assistance. The local shop I would never use again, however AAMCO did what they could to make me a satisfied customer after the frustration.

They replaced my radiator and gave me a car with leaking coolant. Took 1 month for just the radiator job and still it was leaking far worse than when I took it to them.

Another week to get them to look at it again! Still not resolved.

The issue is that I brought my car in for a transmission. They insisted I needed a radiator.

Took 1 month to get the radiator fixed and all the hoses to the new radiator were leaking soon after pickup from the shop. Another week just to get it looked at again.

Third time at shop for same issue. Quality is zero.

Nightmare/paid for service no repairs no replacement, $2,000 in limbo.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I but down a $2,000 a week and a half no rebuilt transmission no replacement with a used transmission, left vehicle June 21, 2018, went back June 30, 2018 still no repairs or replcement. damaghed exhaust pipes vehicle will never pass emission again with out repairs they still have my torque converter and wont return my $2,000.

I had my vehicle towed to another shop they informed me that my exhaust pipe on left driver side had been cut into on that side the exhaust pipe on the right side had been bent and would not bolt properly to exhaust manifold resulting in an exhaust leak, they had to have midas weld a spacer to reconnect the exhaust pipe on right side which they carged me for to repair bent exhaust pipe and exhaust leak would cost more to repair.

They did not but my toqure conveter in with my other parts when had my vehicle towed my vehicle is 2008 Dodge 2500 Heavy Duty, when I went back for my torque concveter they gave me the torque converter for a chevy silverrado. and then they told me we are keeping your $2,000 for RDI.

It Pays To Do Some Homework

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
My Mazda 3 was acting up, AT, traction and engine light all came on at once. First thing I check was trans fluid, clear as a bell. Drove the car home about 50 miles, it ran, but bucked in reverse a little, no smooth shifting either. I checked on line and found that this model had prior issues, same as I was experiencing. I also had a code U0101, which I found with my analyzer. So I figured, Oh well let a pro handle it...right? Not in so, it was more of a con, an out right bull story. 2 days and $200 buck later, AAMCO tells me, bad news son, you car failed internal compression test. Also your fluid is black. I said can't be, just checked it 3 hours ago. They said if you want us to find out the problem, its another $800 to go further and about $900 to rebuild the trans. I said, what about the engine code, the desk guy said, you have a lot of codes, I told him, there's only 1 code and this make of car has know issues related to this code. Long story short, I fixed the problem for $173, it was a faulty trans control module. If these people were honest, guess what I would have paid them to fix the car, even if they charged me $600. They cost me 2 days of work and a rental at $350. Buyer beware.......couldn't be more clear than those famous words. Think twice before going to these types of establishments. Beyond p'od
