TRANSMISSION

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Good Service. *** of a lot Better than the Rusty screwdriver up the woo-hoo without the courtesy of dinner or a lube job... Took a bit longer but hey when it comes down to it Ron put it this way "You want expensive and *** Or you want reasonably priced and made sure its safe I had to say it was refreshing to see a mechanic that's been in the business as long as he has been to lay it out and say hey it might have taken an extra day but do you want *** or do you want quality and safe. So if your Transmission needs to be looked at or if you need a overhaul this guy is going to give you a FAIR and HONEST price, and he isn't going to send you out the door worrying if you're going to have a problem. He actually insists you return with in the next week, so they can put it up and check it out... AAMCO - RON Does right buy you.

User's recommendation: They do right buy you - They are Fair and Honest... They Don't Screw around on price. They are cheaper than the dealership but more expensive the your road mechanics but well worth the money.,

*I went to...*

Original review May 13, 2020
went to 5911 Chimney Rock Rd, AAMCO facility to fix my Mercedes Benz C300 ****. I paid the owner of this shop $ 600 with my debit card for the parts (Two strut mounts). He promised to buy the parts from the Mercedes dealer. I asked him to provide me with the receipt. He said NO, he got upset, impolite and chased me from the store. He told me to move my *** ***** from his facility. The next day, I went there and he only gave me the car, but unfixed and withheld the parts. He did not give me the strut mounts and he took my $ 600. (No car fixed, no money and no parts). He only took my money and closed the door in my face.

Customer Service Sucks.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
During a pandemic the Manager Ron of Surprise Arizona was completely unprofessional, none of the employees were eating masks they had no cleaner the pens were not clean and dirty. Ron was rude, disrespectful, and a total jerk I would never take my car to another AAMCO ever again. This is absolutely horrible customer service and if it wasn't for the fact that they had already started work on the car I would have told them to stop. Their attitude what atrocious and disgusting. They basically held my car ransom... They We're dirty and shady.

I had my transmission repaired at aamco transmission and total care near culver city LA, through my extended warranty with Easy Care. Easy Care recommended AAMCO as they were in my area and I'm from overseas so I don't know where to go. They are the only people ever to touch the transmission since I bought the vehicle 4 years ago. During the next full service with my regular mechanic, they found my catalytic converters were destroyed. Turns out AAMCO had bashed in the sides to access bolts on the transmission instead of removing the exhaust system. They deny it and won't pay for repairs. Do not use this business.

We were told that the jeep is all fixed and was charged for ignition switch, also the A/C was recharged and was told by phillip that the exhaust leak was not a leak and thats just the way it sounds

well after having it towed back o our home it started one time and after is started the A/C is blowing hot and the exhaust is loud and is leaking and and after shutting it off it would not restat again, and it still has the same key so the ignition switch we paid for was never replaced, when i called phillip at the Fontana Aamco my wife and i were told that we could not send it back and that the owner will not fix it, i said do we have to take this to court to get aamco to fix it correctly and was hung up on and when my wife and i tried to call back our numbers were blocked, we are in shock on how we were treated after paying aamco $2800.00 and phillip sending it back not repaired correctly, my wife and our grandson drove down to aamco to talk to phillip in person and after him complaining that i was too upset and he would not deal with me anymore he agreed to have us have it towed back and he would see if he could fix it,he called and said it was starting now but the owner will not fix the A/C the a/c worked perfect before we i had it towed to aamco to get the transmission repaired, we bought this jeep liberty for our daughter and its been over a month and still cannot even get it smogged due to a check engine light and exhaust leak , phillip says its ready to be picked up but we are very upset at this whole thing, we took this jeep to aamco because we trusted that we would get a quality repair done and would not have any problems, at this point we reallyfeel cheated and treated very badly we just want what we have payed for, we were told that the trans was bad when we payed $2000.00 for it, we took it to aamco and they said the transmission is fine after servicing it but it needs an engine, so we trusted phillip at aamco, and just need everything fixed so we can get it smogged and registered and drive it to tuscon to give it to our daughter, please help us get this jeep fixed correctly PLEASE!!!

Rack and pinion

Rack and pinion was done and I need it replaced only after a year of having it. The part itself is bad. Ive been to the same place 3 times for them to fix it and now theyre saying I had a 90 day warranty instead of a year and they cant fix the issue. A rack and pinion supposed to last for 100,000 miles or more. Its only been a year

Damage to my car

AAMCO - Damage to my car
I took my car in to have the transmission checked. They said it would cost well over a thousand dollars to fix. I decided to wait and just pay the fee for having it checked. When I got my car home, I noticed damage on the back corner. A dent, a scratch and a white paint scrape. I called them and they told me they did not do it. I am not happy with aamco on 3197 North High St. I take pride in my vehicles and knew my car did NOT have this damage previously. So I basically paid $60.00 to have my car damaged. I recommend that if anyone takes their car to this junkyard of a company to inspect your car for damage afterward. They will tell you lies that they did not do it.

Unresolved repair issand es

May 26 2020 dropped off 2011 Ram Laroma 1500 truck engine light on told needed cam/lifters &;;;;; transmission. My son made arrangements to have engine work done. After discussions & quote my son & Ryan the manager agreed(altho now Ryan back tracking says there was no discussion) my son would purchase cam/lifters since he was going to be charged approx $3000 for same parts my son could purchase for approx $1100. Aamco wanted a 300% markup...ridiculous! After having truck for close to 2mths truck went to tuner to remove mds codes once at tuners the same codes my son took truck into Aamco for came on...& paid Aamco close to $4000 to fix. Truck had to be towed back to Aamco it was there for another 2wks son was told "we" are doing research can't figure out issue. I had enough & called spoke with Ryan myself of course he kept denying sny conversations or other topics that indicated Aamco was a part of problem. Funny tho the next day my son got a call saying cam/lifters were wrong. Blaming him for truck not getting fixed. Truck was towed back to my house the tow truck driver who said he was friends with Ryan said " Ryan immediately started saying the guy brought us the wrong parts". Once again he's covering his back side. We, as consumers, depend on these so called "professionals" to know what they are doing. The time to do research was BEFORE putting parts in NOT afterwards so that makes these people incrediably arrogant or ignorant one of the 2. Let's add my son was told they'd fix it for another approx $1200 just depends on labor. My son is out alot of $$$$ & still has same issues....THIS IS NOT GOOD SERVICE!

Gresham Oregon AAMCO is scamming their customers

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
My son in law was quoted on 6/11/20 at the Gresham,Oregon AAMCO to have his transmission rebuilt and installed for $3390.He was told while on site at the gresham Oregon AAMCO by James the manager he had to pay all monies up front, he scraped together every last dime he had and financed the remaining balance. He was told the rebuild would take 2-3 weeks, 3 weeks being the absolute longest amount of time. We spoke with owners wife Patty on 7/9/20 at the AAMCO facility in gresham oregon, we were told by Patty that the vehicle was next in line and that the transmission was with their master builder at his personal residence but that the parts had not yet been ordered. We were also told that we would have a timeline on the morning of 7/10/20 as to when the vehicle will be complete. My son in law received an email from James the manager at AAMCO on 7/10/20 that they have now fully torn down inspected and diagnosed the transmission and that it needs additional components for the rebuild, the cost has risen to $4893, that the parts would take 5 working days to arrive and the transmission would take 8 working days to complete. My son in law responded with an email stating that he agrees to proceed with the repair but that we would like a copy of the warranty to review the terms and conditions, the tracking number/s for any and all parts to be ordered, pictures of the repair process of the transmission before, during, and after the repair process, and an email response that the total balance due upon completion of the vehicle is $1503.41. James did not respond, my son in law called James to inform him that he had sent James an email as it was nearing the end of the day on Friday, James said he will not be responding to anymore emails and that the email address we had been told was the owners that we were copying on all email correspondence was rerouted to the gresham AAMCO ( to James ) . My son in law has lost all trust and confidence in AAMCO he just wants his vehicle back with his transmission as it was when it arrived and a full refund. My son in law has a copy of the quote that Lithia Dodge service center gave him to replace the coolant hose for the transmission for $1500 indicating the transmission did not need to be rebuilt, the vehicle was driveable at the time it was taken to gresham AAMCO.
