Horrible job

Toke my car in got approved for $920 to fix it on may 28. 1-6 days they said I had enough went and got it on 6/12/2020 not fixed I might add. On Monday went in and said they nope no part again. Called on Tuesday at 2pm and "oh yeah we got the part yesterday" so bring it up yet again walk home yet again. Called me 2 hrs later and don't know why it's not working they keep it over night call us today, and said we need to pay more (in cash) for a key to program it. I can't get more finance because the original amount already went thru, walked back up and said they are putting back in the old part but don't if that will work. They will call me. My husband and I are both cnas and haven't even worked since the 28th.. They wouldn't pay for a rental they won't just pay $135 themselves for the key and said there's nothing they can do but I'm still on the hook for the $920 Thur the finance office. As I'm typing this I'm walking again from the aamco in Gresham Oregon. Use them with extreme caution.

Work did not correct my repairs needed.

I took my vehicle in for specific reasons. Upon repairs, I took my vehicle home less than one mile and noticed I still had the same problem after paying 3500.00 and since then I can not get the shop to fix or correct the problem I took it in for. I have left the vehicle for over 5 days at one time while renting a vehicle and still open answers. If no answers I will be contacting the BAR when I call the shop no answer and can not even leave a message. Very poor service and feel like I am being ripped off. Please contact me at 510 406-****. I have called customer care but still have not been contacted back in this situation.

Problem with service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Brought car in on Tuesday March 31st @4pm for the engine light test. At 5:30 I called to see what the codes where in the engine light test; I was told they didn't know yet and would call tomorrow. (Mind you before I brought it in they said it would take 30min to get the codes) Wednesday April 1st @9:56am (1 1/2 hours after opening) I finally received a voicemail from Ron (the manager) he left a message stating that what I had going on was either something to do with the timing chain; either the monitoring of the timing chain or the electronics that adjust the timing chain. Then he stated the 2 codes. He then said they needed to do an hour of testing to figure out the issue and it was going to be $125. I called back right away and said yes to do the testing. April 2nd, I received a call saying I needed to approve 5 1/2 hours of labor in order for them to figure out what parts were needed, or if it was just a sensor. The total was $650 for labor and $300 for parts. He then stated I only needed to approve the labor because he still wasn't sure if it needed the 4 guides. April 3rd @4:04pm, finally receive a voicemail stating the car needs 4 guides, 2 tensioners, and they wanted to flush the engine out in case there were particles in the engine. The new total was going to be just shy of $1500 out the door. I approved the work. He stated he would get some of the parts on Monday the 6th and the remaining parts on Tuesday the 7th. I called him later in the afternoon questioning the prices of the parts after I looked them up at Subaru. He started yelling at me telling me I could just pick up the car. I said I wasn't picking it up until it was fixed; that they already took it apart and I wasn't going to just pay for them to take it apart and put it together not fixed. Fast forward to April 9th, I called about my car and was told that a new code came on the engine light code p219a. I asked how is this possible. He said he didn't know and they would need to look at it again. Friday April 10th. I received a call saying the car was ready to be picked up that the p219a code was an anomaly and wasn't anything serious. When I got there to pick up my car @12:30pm, I was told I could not have the car because there was an oil leak now. They were going to have to keep it all weekend again. It should be ready on Monday. Monday April 13th, I call and the car is still being put back together and needed the test drive to check for any issues. Tuesday April 14th, I call @12:30 and I'm told its put back together, but they broke a connector and are waiting for it from Subaru and now my car won't be ready until tomorrow. What on earth is going on at this place. They have had my car for 2 weeks now!!!

Having truck issue

I took my truck because it was shaking every 30-40miles Per hour. In the shop of Aamco that I took It they told me it was a problem with the transmission converter. They charged me more that $3000 to fix the problem. I left the truck with them. They gave me the truck back after 3 weeks. After that there were new problems with the truck that had never happened before it was at the Aamco shop. I had to take it back 4 different times. After 4 months the original problem that I had taken it in for came back. When I took it back they said nothing was wrong. When it was obvious that it had the same problem that they said they had fixed.

I went to the prospect park aamco service station and had an awful experience. My truck was held hostage for months. I went there for a replacement transmission and after finally getting it returned the work was shoddy. I was then told to take it to the Roxborough office and they were just as bad! Finally I was sent to the Norristown shop. I will be suing the prospect park location and the Roxborough location for breach of warranty services. I have already contacted the BBB and channel 6 consumer support services. I paid over 4 thousand dollars for this work and lost thousands of dollars. I am awaiting for the courts to reopen due to the pandemic and I intend to vigorously pursue this matter.

Worst customer service experience ever at the Amcoo Transmition in Omaha Nebraska off 60th and L St. I first took my car in to get fixed on January 10th 2021 to get a Transmition put in.

Paid over $3000 was going to get the reminder what was need to be fixed in the next week or so When I have additional funds to do so. I got my car back in by January 21 you're still acting up like nothing has been fixed I contacted Jay (the agent that works the front counter on the 21st. Jay said he was busy and would contact me the next day with prices. The next day came and went with no contact.

I waited until January 23rd (again no contact from the 21st) to see AGAIN what it would cost to fix the solenoids! Yet again no response! Reached out again on January 24th. To my shock I finally get a response say he was in Chicago and will get me prices when he comes back on Monday!

Yet again no response and another 5 days go by.

I reach out again to Jay on January 29th. Now jay is Conveniently in the hospital and yet again told he will get me prices. (Again I had already paid the money to have my car looked at ontop over the $3000 plus dollars for the previous work. I had no updates so on February 4th again reached out to jay no response.

Reached out again later that day. To my shock I got a response saying he is waiting on prices ( really weeks later ?) and he will call me. February 5 and 6 NO CAll back. Reached out again on the 7th NO call back.

Reached out again on February 10th. No response back reached out again on February 12th finally get a response saying I need to bring my car in so you can see what solenoid it is. When for weeks Jay has been saying he is waiting on prices finally got my car in (almost a month later of being dismissed from Jay) and was told it's going to be another $1,300 that they need to order the parts and can get it in the shop on Monday February 24th. I said.

Are you able to do it all in one day. I work 6am to 3pm and then run straight to work to pick up my kid from school. I was told no problem it takes 4 hours to work on it they will pick up my car from work and bring it back in plenty of time. Not only am I a single mom taking

Care of my son alone I have a father battling cancer that I take to his radiation appointments he has daily in the evening since they are open till 7pm jay told me to call him on my lunch which is between 1 and 2.

Remind you I get off at 3pm. When I call I'm told my car didn't get picked up till 11am and they didn't get back till 1pm to get looked at so I won't have my car when I get off work. Which means I have no way to get my child from school. I was told my car would be done before 5 pm to come on down.

So I had to scramble to find a Uber since I was getting of work in an hour and the had to ubber to get my kid and go home also. I find a ride to go pick up my car at 5 pm like I was told. Get a txt at 4:48pm (while my ride is pulling into Amcoo parking lot) jay said my car still wasn't done and they just realized 20 minutes ago they had the wrong parts. So yet again I'm having to take an Uber with my dad to get him to his treatments.

Then I will have to Uber to work, after work to get my kid then Uber to get my car. If it's actually fixed this time and I get it back. I would never Recommend this place not even to my worst enemy. Jay It's completely , condescending lies, and goes back on what he said saying he never did that.

That's why I have every Text message I could because I don't do business with him over the phone because he tries to pull fast ones on people.

Stay away from this shady business I want my Complaint given to CEO: Brett Ponton

CFO: John R. Erickson

COO: Robert Rajkowski

Issues with service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Took car to cathedral city, ca location on Feb. 3rd to get a simple service. Was then told I had transmission issue which costed me $1200 for them to go and take my car apart to diagnose which really meant RIP my *** apart and break it to the point of needing an entire rebuild FORCING ME TO an additional $7000+ with empty.promises of IT being not only done in a week which turned into after a month and a half it ended up being improperly done entirely and having to move to the redlands, ca location to be completely redone and finally after 2months of their *** I get my car back with the false promise of having a vehicle with zero issues cause immediately once I got my vehicle I had multiple indicator lights and warnings going off it's not even funny and after barely driving it for about a week my vehicle straight died and left me stranded.on the side of the road screwed mind you I am not even from the area and never was able to make it home. Now my car is currently back at redlands location cause I'll be damned if they dont owe me to fix whatever it is they did, thank god I had a professional that specializes in my vehicle only tell me exactly what was wrong which was the alternator which I never had issues with from the start and reason being due to whatever they did it was 100% them who screwed up which killed my alternator. BUT TELL ME WHY THEY ARE TRYING TO ACT LIKE THEY DIDNT DO ANYTHING AND THEY ARE DOING ME THE FAVOR BY TELLING ME WHATS NOW WRONG AND THAT THEY DONT HAVE THE MEANS TO FIX THE ISSUE BUT CAN RECOMMEND A DEALERSHIP OR PROPER REPAIR PLACE TO GO TO......ILL BE DAMNED IF THEY THINK THEY ARE GUNNA GET AWAY WITH THIS AND AT THE VERY LEAST FULLY COVER ANY AND ALL COSTS.TO FIX MY VEHICLE. WAITING FOR CORPORATE TO GET BACK TO ME SO I CAN MAKE SURE THIS HAPPENS. NOBODY IS *** ME OUT OF ALMOST $10,000 AND DESTROYING MY ONCE RUNNING VEHICLE AND GETTING AWAY WITH IT

AAMCO - Do Not Take Car Here, Scam!
AAMCO - Do Not Take Car Here, Scam! - Image 2
So I took my 2003 Mercedes in for transmission fluid change on Tuesday but, by Wednesday they not only lied about not touching my car but, they made the car misread by hooking my car up to the shop's computer and deactivated several modules to make the cars computer misread and the transmission would not up shift because car was in "Safety Mode". Not only did it take $403.98 tobe fixed at another shop but the owner Scott, the manager Wayne, and the mechanic (who didn't know what he was doing) Dave, flat out lied until I reported them to the BBB and to Pinellas Consumer Protection. Now after a month of trying to settle for $400, Scott finally investigated and realized his shop workers are a bunch of pretenders and liars. Off to small claims court..... This shop is ripping people off and Aamco is doing nothing but pay for fancy commercials that are also full of lies. Don't take your car here and don't use Aamco, they are crooks!!

AAMCO - Do not use at all
I bought a 2013 hyundai elantra from a used car dealership had aamco go and look over car, as tv ads state that they have highly trained specialists to make sure your car is ok. The aamco specialist sends an email stating car has no mechanical issues and only thing that needs to be done is change fluids and oil. That day we bought the car based off their recommendations find out its ticking and clicking, we take car immediately to hyundai and they found that the car needed a new motor and both front cv joints replaced. Called up aamco in Pennsylvania and Mike P he is director of support, said in a nutshell their wont cover my out of pocket expenses for the car. Even though they had incompetent people who obviously dont know anything about cars give wrong diagnosis on vechile. I will never recommend aamco for anything I will have a news outlet look into this seeing aamco decided they wont own their mistake.

At that age, the car doesn't need "checked out". It needs a total autopsy and you won't get that at Aamco.

Guest

It's up to you, the consumer and the guy with the wallet, to assure the quality of anything you buy. You've purchased an 8 year old Brand-X vehicle and you want a transmission shop to pay for a new engine ?

What ? Utter nonsense. What about the seller ?

What did they hide or fail to mention ? You made a bad buy in the first place and embellished it with improper finger pointing.

Do not waste your time coming here they do not know how to fix shit!!!!! We had a engine put on our car and as soon as we drove off the lot literally less then a mile the engine went out out. This guy Tom said that it was a radiator and a hose he fixed both and guess what the radiator overheated again less then a mile from us getting the car again a second day. Do not waste your time here it's pointless.
