Had transmission problems on my toyota three years ago ,took it to Aamco where the owner who so kindly said he would check it and WORK WITH ME! Yeah right 4200 and three years my Toyota has never run right and transmission is bad.Owner lures people in with this nice persona and sucks them dry! He is a crook and will take advantage of anyone or women who lets them. He will even say he will take payments and pad his bill like he did to me!!! for almost three years he kept bothering me to give him a good review that he was such a good guy and look at all his positive reviews .... But on his review site he can change or delete bad reviews!

Sluggish transmission/Check Engine light flashing | Aamco review from Bethesda, Maryland

Details
I am the original owner of a 2001 Isuzu Trooper S4WD mid-size SUV. I had taken my Trooper in for a check-up and oil change, etc. to my dealership and my mechanic. However, upon driving the vehicle my check engine light was coming on and flashing periodically and I was not able to figure out why. Also, my gears were not shifting up at all. Anyway, I decided it had to be a transmission issue (having ruled out all other problems), so I took the vehicle in to Aamco in Rockville. They inspected it and were able to diagnose a transmission leak. I was surprised but I had the transmission replaced in 2008 (under warranty). The repair was made promptly and I was updated by David, the manager there. I was kept updated and the work was completed within 2 days. My trooper runs smoother and I know the problem has been fixed. I am grateful to Aamco for their assistance and am glad to have my vehicle back. I was told the vehicle could go to 250,000 miles...since it was in excellent condition. I would recommend this Aamco since they have been there a long time and car maintenance is essential to hanging on to an older vehicle. They know about transmissions (lots of mechanics do not want to mess with it), and the dealers only replace transmissions, not re-build them. I will take it there from now on to have the transmission fluid changed as well as any other work that needs to be done to the transmission.

I went to AAMCO to get a free brake inspection. I had gone to PEP BOYS and gotten the same thing done. PEP BOYS tried to get me to do $2,000 worth of work done, and when i went to AAMCO, I was told that the parts they told me to repair had actually quite a bit of wear...

Had a transmission reseal done on my truck. They did a "courtesy" inspection and found over $1500 of work including brakes, rotors, and some suspension work. I took it to Firestone down the street and it passed inspection. They said the brakes were good for about...

AAmco told you what needed to be done if you wanted to be safe on the road. 3000 miles is not a lot miles when you think of it on

less you park your car in the garage and drive 10 miles a week

Bad business | Aamco review from Englewood, Florida

When taking out tranny cut all lines, never rebuilt convertor like they said they did, never returned all parts when I had to have AAA tow car back out of there after a month of fraudulent lies and no work having been done. Took car part and put into trunk unassembled and put into box and bucket. When I said give me all my parts too, was told we will. Guess what? no solenoid block! fixed tranny at a real shop with no problem except for all the cut lines and missing parts! what a bunch of cruds! run from here! read all reviews first. dont even use for small repairs like oil change and such. find a real mechanic!!!!!!

After our car's transmission work was done, I jokingly asked the tech to provide proof that the work and subsequent leak they said is there after they completed transmission work was fixed (afterall, no leak was there before). He got angry...that should have been my cue that this was going to get ugly! Called this morning @ 6am (PSDT) to inform this location that the transmission they repaired and charged me $548.17 on December 1, 2015 to repair is leaking. Prior to the car being returned to us, we were told the transmission had been repaired but their was a leak. It would be test driven and leak but would be sealed. Obviously it wasn't done - the transmission is leaking!!! @ 6:15am (PSDT), I called back to find out if they had a warranty. Was told "30 days on parts and labor". I hung up. I then spent the next eight hours trying to work out how to get the car to this location from New Orleans. @2:30pm (PSDT), called back and asked to speak with Paul (the owner), I was rudely told he was out of the office for the next 1month, 2months, 3months, 4months, 5months -angrily. When I said I need to discuss the car that was repaired last week and has been leaking. Was then BLASTED, YELLED at the accused of blocking my number cause I am hiding or trying to hide something. First of all, instead of worrying about why my phone is blocked they needed to worry about the fact that I paid for repair that was not completed. They needed to be more concern with the fact that they are doing sub-par work and hiding and using strong arming when asked to deal with a repair that was not completed when services was paid. When I called this office on November 23, Paul spoke with the at length to get my business; however, since the car was received I had not been able to get a returned call from Paul. His staff continues to say he is out of the office, is rude, yells me when being told a problem exist with the repair, is more concerned about my calls coming from a "blocked" number than making sure they take care of business. Be sure to check around and find a location that takes care of the services you pay them to perform...BUYER BEWARE! BTW - I will be reviewing options to report the abusive behavior of staff at this office, filing a claim for the cost of the repairs and if necessary seek legal actions against this location. I have recorded all conversations between myself and this location for my record! BTW, the insisted on getting a check after signs posted says they take credit cards...now I know why...once they cash the check and you have a problem, it's difficult to get your money back....complaint in progress!
