Response to the fabricated document | Aamco review from Rockville, Maryland

Anyone can tell that the the document was typed up by person himself and was fabricated. The customer had diagnosed the overheating himself and he had asked for a quote on water pump replacement on labor only as he was going to bring in the water pump himself. When we advised him to have the vehicle checked for cause of overheating, he stated that he had already checked and was certain that was the cause of overheating. He specifically told us to replace the water pump that he brought in and was charged just for the labor. After the replacement and during the filling and bleeding of the cooling system, we noticed the leak from the expansion tank from the seams, informed customer. I believe all this could have been avoided had he made the right decision to let us diagnose the cause of overheating as we had recommend in the first place which he absolutely refused and specifically told us to replace the water pump and nothing else. We can only do what the customer authorized. Now after the fact that it wasn't the water pump , he is upset and accusing of not doing the job right. This is why we don't like to have customer make their dianosis and bring their own parts for us to replace. If he had put the copy of the work order online, it clearly states water pump replacement per customer request stated on the ticket.

Free "check engine " code read and explain | Aamco review from Fontana, California

Went to Fontana, Ca. Aamco on Arrow Blvd. today at 2:00 PM and showed the man behind the counter my coupon. He said he didn't honor the coupon. He said he could plug the tester in to my car and it would come up with a number. he wrote the number 420 on a piece of paper and gave it to me and said that doesn't help you or me. I need your car for 3 to5 hours and $80 dollars and I can tell you what is wrong. That's not what is advertised. Rip off to get money ! false advertising. Take your car to a company who doesn't lie up front

#1 we perform a "60" point inspection not a "42" point inspection , #2 if we performed a "Free Diagnostic" on your vehicle, then that's not considered a "rip off" as you did not pay a dime for a diagnostic. #3 If someone "a tech mabe" was standing near your car, mabe he had a scanner plugged into your vehicle for codes if your complaint was a "check engine"

light.

*We AAMCO Capo Beach, do not need to move any vehicle to read codes or to perform a "visual diagnostic" as stated on our paperwork.

If it was our price quote, then I apologize but you have the option like everyone else to get a second opinion or price quote anywhere else you please. If you have any further questions, please contact our office @ 949-496-1211 Cliff or Andrew thanks

Aamco in Danbury, CT - Very Unhappy Customer!!!!!!!

Details
Was charged close to $3,000 for a transmission re-build at Aamco, Danbury, CT. We had trouble with the transmission within one year of the re-build. It is now a little over 2 years since the re-build, and we have been told a complete re-build is needed again. Additional frustration: The franchise owned Aamco in Danbury, CT is now out of business! Not a success story for the Aamco brand. I called the Aamco HQ, but did not receive satisfaction. You choose a national brand because you expect premium service over a local independent. Absolutely not the case here!I would never use Aamco again. One star would be way too generous!!
