Monrovia, CA AAMCO screwed me over!

1.0
Details
The AAMCO location in Monrovia, CA will *** over if you give them the chance! I had a transmission put into my truck, only to have it blow up while I was on the driving on the freeway only 3 months into it. They replaced the transmission again, and now that I have just over 40,000 miles on this transmission, it needs to be replaced, AGAIN! They won't do anything for me and want to charge me $2,300 to fix it. 3 transmissions in 40,000 miles and they won't do anything for me?! This place is a joke! If you go there, tell Michael he's an ***!

Clutch Overcharge Review

I am so mad . I have to write again. I purchased clutch and they charged so much. Then they cost way more than other places to put the clutch in. I paid a lot of money at least 1,000 dollars. They offer no warranty.

No Costumer Service and Failed Service | Aamco review from North Plainfield, New Jersey

3.0
Details
They have now had my Ford Explorer for a work time of over a month, with three different visits and over two grand in payments and i still am car less. Along with this they will not return my calls and when i call get rude responses. When asked for owner he too refused to return my car and when i finally got him on the phone when i called was told he was simply to busy to call me. This was the Aamco in North Plainfield, New Jersey. SO to sum up, they failed at their service and are now anything but cooperative at making it right. Oh and icing on the cake, their cooperate website complaint page does not, When you submit it responds with an error page.

The owner at 2941 Eglinton Ave., Scarborough, Ontario Canada was offering a free dianostics to my 2003 Nissan Murano. The engine was shutting down and losing power when it was warm. I had it towed on a flatbed by CAA and dropped off. The owners brother drove the car...

Had the transmission rebuilt by AAMCO in corona, Ca. After being able to safely pull over I called AAA for a tow and while waiting I looked under the truck and trans fluid was running onto the ground. No evidence of freeway debris breaking a line or putting *** through...

I was treated unprofessionally and totally ignored | Aamco review from Douglasville, Georgia

I went in to the Aamco shop at 2048 Fairburn rd, Douglasville, Ga around 9 am. I asked about getting the free multi check for my 03 Taurus. I was told at that time, they would try to work me in ( keep in mind this was a free multi check offered by AAMCO). I was asked if I wanted to leave my car and I replied no, I'll just wait ( I had now ride back home). From the time I arrived until I left at 1:15 no one said a word to me. So I went and I asked, will anyone be able to look at my car. The lady behind the counter just simply replied no, cut and dry. The treatment was very totally uncalled for and if I am ever asked for a place to go it won't be to AAMCO on Fairburn Rd, in Douglasville, GA The office personnel (owner included sucked). I heard him tell someone one the phone what makes these people (the customer) think they are so important. My next step is to contact their Corp Office.

I could not agree more. After using Aamco in Marietta and Douglasville for 20 some odd years I've had enough of their unprofessional baloney.

At least you didn't get ripped off by paying for something and then finding out that their guarantee is not worth the paper it is printed on, unfortunately I did.

The manager there is just horrible and will not service the customer. In fact I don't think they want any customers, judging from the attitude displayed.

STRONG ARMED! | Aamco review from Pearl River, New York

Very unfortunate and bad experience for me which I do not wish on my neighbors. Took my 03 RAV 4 for a Transmission check at Pearl River AAMCO and was met with good guy (Chuck) who explained one thing to us. Then came the phone call from the bad guy (Chris) who is unprofessional, condescending to women, who explained that it would cost $1300 to diagnose and then a later call to state that it would cost $5000 to repair. When I decided to take the car to the dealer, it became $1300 to diagnose and another $1000 to put everything back without fixing plus $50/day for keeping it in his parking lot.

Aamco - Truck Repair Review from Kingsville, Texas

6weeks today and my truck is still in the AAMCO shop. The real kicker is that they have no idea when it will be ready. I've never done business with a company or individual with such a total disregard of customer service. I've even contacted the home office and all they can say is "what do you want me to do about it." I'm one extremely pissed consumer.

What happened to your truck? Did you have to file a complaint with the Attorney General's Office?

My husband took our van in for the muffler, only; and low and behold, it went from the muffler to a blown-out engine; from $1,100 to $3,000 plus dollars. Six weeks later, we still do not have our van. We would get it back every week or every other week, and while we are driving, literally, it would just die in the middle of the road. I asked the guy at AAMCO if he was trying to get me/us killed?

So, back in it went, then we would get a call, "...its good..." This last time, which was yesterday, we loved it alright, the a/c started to get hot, then the steering wheel started to get harder to turn, all of the warning lights came on, and my 21-year-old son is saying, "Ma, the a/c is blowing hot air." At the moment, it died in the middle of the street, again.

My husband has called and complained, complained, complained. And granted our van is old, we have never in all the years we have had this van, ever, had it die on us. It is the most reliable car we have ever owned, it never gave us any problems, never! We take it into AAMCO for a muffler, and we leave with a new, not very compatible, engine...and now we are being told we need an alternator, and its going to cost us.

REALLY! Then we are told that a car is like going to the dentist, you go in for one tooth, only to find out there are three teeth that need to be fixed--well, some dentist lie as well. And now the consumer affairs office at AAMCO is on the mechanics side, so I guess we will have to choose our battle on this one and go to the Attorney General's Office.

We have no van history of something so major as a it blowing its engine.
