Aamco review in Orlando, Florida: Un needed repairs
Took my truck in for hard shifting into gears after a few miles warming up, they said they needed to diagnose the issue, 'OK professional oppion" after diagnosis ah the torque converter may be bad wont know till we open in up, their diagnosis led them to believe it had to be opened up, so 700 dollars labor later their were 3 electrical componants bad and torque conveter so at this point stuck with rebuild, so although was not ready for that, i figued at least its rebuilt and got many more years to drive it with warranty, so finall bill was 2750, then heading home after a few miles the same problem I came there with was still there, now i'm PISSED, took it back now they say it could be an electrcal issue, my problem in this situation is what happen to the professional diagnosis in the first place, it could have been a simple electrical issue all along not a 2700 rebuild if they even rebuilt it!
Aamco review in San Jose, California: Ripped off and service not completed
I went down to AAmco transmissions for them to check out my four wheel drive on my truck and have the rear differential fluid changed. and when they finished the diagnosis the service writer told me the parts alone were going to be over $1100 witch i just bought myself for $260 for the same exact parts. i felt like they were tring to take advantage of me. So i told the guy i was going to come pick up my truck, thats when he told me it would be $440 for the diagnosis witch i paid. when i picked up my truck the differential fluid was not changed and the steering column was left apart. This was terrible service.
In July of 2012, I took my 1999 Ford F250 to AAmco at 11323 Midland Blvd in Maryland Heights Missouri, For a O.E.M. rebuild on my transmission. I paid 2300.00 for a piece of mind. I thought. When i got the truck originally from aamco it had a leak from the...
Aamco Customer Care
Aamco review in Phoenix, Arizona: Failure to repair
When the linkage failed on the transmission that Trans Action total car care experts fixed on 10/17/2012. I took it to be fixed and they told me that "The linkage is not part of the transmission" He then started going on about "When you buy (something) something else isn't part of the original something". Like that has anything to do with him trying to cheat me out of the cost of the repairs for his inferior job on the repair of the transmission that is supposed to be under warranty. This whole operation is a rip off and I was treated like a fool.
Aamco review in Surprise, Arizona: Customer
The surprise az AAMCO store provided poor service and tried to charge me for same action i paid 1999.00 for. I had leakage and burning smell, took back to AAMCO, repaired the leaky seals and later vibration felt. Returned to AAmco and they stated a carried bearing was broke. I asked them to produce the part, they stated they had no idea where it went, i then proceeded to the dealer, i found poor workmanship on AAMCO part. it took AAMCO almost a week to repair and Dealer one day. I tried calling customer service and have yet to receive a call back. I will never recommend aamco to repair anything. unlike Big O i been a loyal customer for 15 year. To bad one apple will spoil a whole bunch, i have divert 26 customers by informing them of AAMCO's service.
Aamco review in Springfield, Massachusetts: Horrible Service
My car was brought in to have the transmission fixed. Got the car back a month later and it broke down within two weeks. Many excuses throughout the month about why it was not ready. No apology, more excuses after it was brought back the second time. AAMCO delayed the car pick-up time twice. Car still does not work right. I am done with my complaint but apparently I need to enter at least 100 words in order to submit it. Soooooooo...it appears that the AAMCO philosophy is very poor service and poor customer service throughout the varying locations.

Aamco review in Seattle, Washington: Very bad service
I took my car (Toyota Corolla) to AAMCO at Auburn, Washington for fixing my front brakes since I got a coupon from AMAZON LOCAL. They said it will take 2-3 hours for replacing the brakes so I left my car and came back after 2 hours. When I arrived it was already fixed and they said ready to go. Besides the coupon they charged me $11.49 for replacing the rotors. They didn't called me before replacing it so not sure whether they actually replaced it. Anyway when I drove back home I was hearing loud grinding noice and it was so annoying. So I went back to AAMCO and they said this is normal when you replace brakes and it will go away soon. But that was not the case, I was hearing noice again even after driving several miles. The next day I took my car to the toyota dealer and asked them to fix this and they charged me $199. I called Amazon local about this problem and they told me they will refund the coupon amount. Not sure about $11.49 AAMCo charged for rotors??Is the rotors so cheap? I will have to investigate about this.....never even go to AAMCO again...
Aamco review: Interesting
I thought I would push a post here which is a general all around thank you for those of you who posted here and those who built and monitor this site. I recently found myself in need of transmission work and started calling around. After I got my estimates in I was dead set at having Aamco do my work. but considering the work I needed which was several thousand dollars I figured I would go see what everyone else was saying about them. the research i did ultimately led me here. regardless here is the crazy *** I got out of Aamco I called around and got an estimate for the work (site unseen) at 2200. I thought excellent 10 year unlimited mile warranty. Then I thought. man that is too good to be true and called another aamco who quoted me all over the board up to including 7,000 for a *** transmission when new from the dealership they are under 4K. this board and that conversation saved me from the pain you are all going through. I'll never go there. Thanks guys - keep up the good work.
