AAMCO Hicksville NY

I took my Honda Accord to this shop because Check Engine Light was on. This shop read the trouble code and said one of the switch was choked. I to the car to this shop for repairs, i was given the car without any repairs and charged me $468. The next day the check engine light came back on. I took the car back to him and asked for the refund my money back because the car felt like not even touched, he started yelling at me that i am calling him a layer. He did not refund the money

I checked our logs for aound this date in our computer. I do not see that we serviced a Honda Accord on or around that date.

As there is no additional information such as customers name, year of the Honda, what code was present and so forth. (I do not know what the customer means by "one of the switch was choked.") It is our policy to fix every car at a fair price.

We offer guatantees on all of our work. I can assure you that "he" did not "start yelling at me and caling him a 'liar'" While this review is rather old, I do invite the customer to contact us to see if we can be of any assistance.

I hope everyone reads before choosing aamco

after replacing my tranny in June It broke again in Oct they blamed it on my radiator and held my car for 3 weeks saying my warenty was void I told them my radiator was checked 2 days before they had towed it away after my mech.changed the oil and checked other fluids, the customer service was the worst I have ever delt with all he wanted to do was agrue with me and it was his way and he wouldnt let me talk to the owner, they say one price and i had to pay over double the cost.so if you ever have tranny problems in ft myers fl do yourself a favor and stay away from Aamco on fowler st.

Aamco gets its mechanics from the same local pool as any other transmission shop in the area. It is completely possible to have the radiator cool the engine but fail on the transmission cooler portion.

I always recommend "by-pass" and run an external cooler...eliminates the possibility of the radiator causing a failure. But would you have paid another $200.00 if they told you they could eliminate such a risk? I doubt that you would. What you should have done is contact the customer relations and got them involved.

The great part of big companies is that they have to keep their customers happy. Human resources is a beautiful thing!

Yep.You got their regular bat and switch. Its the aamco way. What a bunch of crooks.Stay away from these places. Why anyone goes there to begin with is beyond me.Nothing but a scam shop. There all the same.Use the cheapest parts, shoddy workmanship ect.A regular drug store too.

Ok so I have a car that has some mileage on it but its no worse for the wear. Recently my check engine light came on and the transmission was acting funny so I figured, hey why not take it to the transmission specialists especially when they "check" your check engine...

I am not buying that someone put a whole in his radiator or sabatoged his vehicle. It doesn't make sense and the state uses "set up" cars that makes it too risky to attempt such immorality.

Sounds more like he had more problems on his high mileage vehicle then he knew about. The lights were probably on due to running the vehicle on the hoist. The problem with FREE checks is that the companies can't spend enough quality time and not get paid.

I also doubt that $60.00 would cover the cost to have it properly checked. Why not spend $120.00 and have the dealer tell you what's going on with your car?...you get what you pay for....what do you expect when you pay nothing?

AAMCO is awful

We were having a problem with a leaky fuel line and took our suv in to be fixed. They told Us it would take two hours to fix, three days later they finally return the car. Saying the issue was they ordered the wrong part several times. Great job! We have the car back exactly two weeks and the entire fuel line breaks, losing all of the gas and requiring a tow. We have the blazer towed to AAMCO again and they say that it is unrelated, which is obviously not the case. If we would want to have the car fixed it will cost $1300. No thank you AAMCO, we will NEVER use your services again. In the process of towing our vehicle to another mechanic.

Sending unit for my car | Aamco review from Dearborn, Michigan

I dropped my car off to Amoco in Taylor Michigan store on October 1, 2012 @ 10:00 am, they held my car until October 19, 2012 5:15 pm. They communicated with me 3 times out of the period of my car being there. I called twice and went up there 3 times again out of the time they held my car. The dam car gas gauge is still not working. I'm telling you right now it wont stop here. I will be filing a lawsuit as soon as possible. They rigged my sending unit and the needle in my car is still showing 1/2 full and I have driven it all weekend. I'm so pissed I want my money back and for them to fix my car while I'm there so they wont rig anything else.

Replaced parts that were not faulty and the problem is still there. Aamco is a rip off. I took my truck there to have them fix a noise in the transmission. They charged me $836.00, I paid them and the exact same noise was there. The manager told me they would have to...

Aamco Boise Idaho

Called Aamco in Boise Idaho, explained what was going on with my car. They assured me they knew what the problem was and it would cost $920 to fix. I agreed and brought my car in.three days later my car is still not fixed and the bill has escalated to $2800. DO NOT USE BOISE AAMCO ON STATE STREET, they are now telling me that the $920 is labor and the rest its parts. If I had known this from our initial conversation I would have never brought my car there!! even not wanting them to finish repairs they are still charging me the same.
