Hum...sounds like you're complaining about the wrong Aamco~Eric works at the Aamco in North Hollywood (just moved to Burbank) I called the Aamco on Melrose; there's not record of a car being picked up from Portland, Oregon. Sounds like you want to call the Aamco Corporate Office (customer relations) I have used them in the past~they were a great help!

Not sure why you would take a Mercedes to AAMCO for a starting problem. Best to take this brand to a dealer.

I find the AAMCO people at the Brampton AAMCO transmission extremely rude. Tel number: 905-459-9876. It is very difficult to talk to them. I changed my transmission in April 2012, 2 days after driving out of the agency the red clutch light was on. I was away; I called...

I took my vehicle in last year and I was assured by the manager himself that I would pay a fixed amount for the repairs of my car.

When I went to pickup my car, an additional $900 was applied under the rouse of having to order "special parts". When I contested the new price, the manager threatened to call the police. He was so smug and arrogant about it to. I did not back down and told him to go ahead and call the police.

When they showed up, I explained the situation to the officers and they said I could either pay them the new price or I could take them to court (seeing as how they refused to release my car). My car has been in their possession since last year and the matter is now before the courts.

Not only did they jack the price up, but they took a week longer than they said they would take to complete the job, but they never bothered to call me and let me know . Instead, I had to call them to find out why I did not get a call from them on the day they said my car would be ready.

Sorry but I am not going to ripped off, and deal with slow service.

Do yourself (and your bank account) a HUGE favor and find another transmission place unless you have money to burn or if you want to get even with your ex at their expense.

The History of : information hiosrty An automobile powered by a Otto gasoline engine was built in Germany by in 1885 and granted a patent in the following year. Although several other engineers (including Gottlieb Daimler, Wilhelm Maybach and Siegfried Marcus) were working on the problem at about the same time, Benz is generally credited with the invention of the modern automobile. The large-scale, production-line manufacturing of affordable automobiles was debuted by Ransom Eli Olds at his Oldsmobile factory in 1902.

This assembly line concept was then greatly expanded by Henry Ford in the 1910s. Development of automotive technology was rapid, due in part to the hundreds of small manufacturers competing to gain the world's attention. Key developments included electric ignition and the electric self-starter (both by Charles Kettering, for the Cadillac Motor Company in 1910-1911), independent suspension, and four-wheel brakes.Although various pistonless rotary engine designs have attempted to compete with the conventional piston and crankshaft design, only Mazda's version of the Wankel engine has had more than very limited success.Since the 1920s, nearly all cars have been mass-produced to meet market needs, so marketing plans have often heavily influenced automobile design. It was Alfred P.

Sloan who established the idea of different makes of cars produced by one company, so that buyers could move up as their fortunes improved.

The makes shared parts with one another so that the larger production volume resulted in lower costs for each price range. For example, in the 1950s, Chevrolet shared hood, doors, roof, and windows with Pontiac; the LaSalle of the 1930s, sold by Cadillac, used the cheaper mechanical parts made by the Oldsmobile divisionSource:

Aamco review in Hicksville, New York: Ammco Transmission Centereach NY

I brought my car in for a leaky transmission and then they called me and told me that the Check Engine light was on and they needed an addition $600. Funny, it was not on before I brought it to them. When I went to pick my car up it was hesitation when I changed gears and my radio no longer worked. I called the corporate office and they told me that I had to bring it back to the same location. Hesitated, but brought it back and they stated that there was oil in my antifreeze, my transmission sensor needed to be replaced, the car could not go over 35mph and the car was over heating. They basically are rip off artists and have no idea what they are doing. long story short I have to buy a new car and their corporate office SUCKS when it comes to helping customers.

Dont trust aamco

took my truck in to have my transmission looked at. they told me it was fried. no big deal except in the process they broke a brand new sift cable i spent 6 hours installing the day befor and would cover the $100 part. then they told me my flywheel was cracked. so iwent up there and said show me. sure enough it was cracked but there were obviouse tool marks on it but i got a new onefor free from a buddy so no big deal. then they comeback and tell me after i brought them a freshly rebuilt tranny for half the cost that they wanted that it was the wrong flywheel. so i went up there and what do ya know there "expert mechanic put it on backwards. not thrilled. ended up getting my truck back 2 days after expected at nearly double the estemated cost. bottom line is dont trust them. Ammco deserves to be put out of buisness!!!!!!!!!!!

It's not that you are a woman...it's because you authorized repairs that you must have known that you could not pay for....most shops start charging storage after 3 days that a repair is completed....the shop payed for the parts, paid the mechanic to perform the repair, and you come in two weeks later with a small payment that would not even cover the expenses they have already had to spend to repair your car... They are not a finance company....geez...you really have to use some excuse(gender) instead of simply admitting that you think that people are obligated to solve your problems...

You are not a victim...you created this problem. Would you order food that you can't pay for....eat it all up......tell the diner that you will pay them as you are able ...then accuse them of sexism when they have you arrested for not paying for your meal.

Aamco not only does not fix the problem, they give out your personal information!!!

I have been a loyal customer of Aamco's for over three years.....In the past year and a half, my husband and I have paid them about 8k in auto repairs, and you'd figure that our cars would run like new...well they don't...as a matter of fact, everytime we've taken one of our cars to them , it take well over a week for them to fix the problem, and then we have to take the cars back because they still aren't running correctly.....on top of it all, My mother just tried to get credit with Aamco to fix her car, and she was denied....this company, who've I've been with for years, then decides to tell my mother to ask me because he believes that I have some room left on my credit cards.....he then proceeded to put her on hold to check the balance on my cards and then proceeds to inform her that I've paid my credit card off, so she could ask me to use my credit to get her car fixed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know that it illegal to give out someone's personal information the way they did, and if I had legitamate proof, I'd be getting a lawyer right now, because believe me I'm ticked!!!!!!! I then call the Aamco consumer services center and get a voicemail....I left a voicemail and am waiting for them to call me back....I sure hope that they've enjoyed all my money, because they just lost this customer, and I will be sure to warn anyone I come into contact with NEVER to use Aamco...they are a bunch of scamers.
