AAMCO IN GLANDALE, CA

I took my car to AAMCO in Glendale. They told me will cost no more than $1500.00. I had few prices of $950.00, and $1300.00 form other places. Since it was a named shop. I talked to John Edward, and he is a unprofessional, and rude person. Do not go to that shop since the rubbed me. After I said OK to fix the car for $1500.00, they called me back next days with $2700.00 charge. They said the case is bad. Not true. I went there and he called Police for me. He said you need to pay $725.00 if you need your car back. I paid $725.00 and took my car to anther shop. I lost $725.00 since is tried to overcharged me. I am glad did not pay what they asked since I fix my car with $1200.00. Do not go to AAMCO in Glendale.

AAMCO still has my car and it's been almost three weeks

What can I do short of calling the police to make AAMCO give me back my car. After 10 days at their shop they called me and said my car is done. I sent the Mesa mechanic to pick it up to make sure they had fixed the problem. Well they didn't it went right back into AAMCO after I paid over $4,000 dollars in repairs. It is now 9 days later and they say they are waiting for a part. What can I do? I am in Mesa AZ. The shop is at Southern and Ellsworth in Mesa.

I am very dissatisfied with this shop and their business practices. After dropping off my 2000 Tahoe for their advertised special for a "free check engine light diagnosis" Jamie, the owner, called me back and told me that I needed a rebuilt transmission. My truck was...

Read both relevent stories: I went to Aamco transmissions in north attleboro, ma. They tell you that they give you an external diagnostic for 60.00. If they do any work then it's free. so they looked at my tranny and said they were going to have to take it...

AAMCO Glendale -- Honesty is the best policy

Took my Nissan Altima to AAMCO in Glendale, CA on Colorado St. The local dealer wanted to replace the transmission due to some electronic issues at a cost of about $4500. The mechanics at AAMCO found the problem and only charged me for a transmission sensor. I think they took more time to check it out properly, instead of just telling me that I needed to replace the whole transmission. I've taken my car there before for a service and I was happy with the result. My company was looking for an honest place to take their fleet of trucks and now AAMCO will get all our business. Thanks AAMCO

Retard maybe you should look at your respected co-workers for selling your tools to mark.

Over the course of 10 months I brought the car into the Aamco on Pickett St. in Alexandria a total of 6 times. Despite the inept service, I continued to allow Aamco to attempt the repairs because of a warranty i purchased. On each of these occasions I was without a car...

The Aamco NIGHTMARE!

We took our car in because it wasn’t shifting correctly. At first we were assured it could be fixed, and were charged $1500. Two days later we were informed that the problem they “repaired” wasn’t the problem, and it would cost an additional $900 to “fix” it this time. We refused to pay this additional cost. When we asked them to put our car back as it was and refund our money they refused. Long story short, it took them 24 days to reset our computer (resetting a computer takes approx. 1 hour). Our car went to 3 different locations in AZ (9723 E Southern Ave., 5026 E Main, and 2341 S Val Vista). Every day we had to call and speak to managers. In the end, though we DID pay for many frivolous repairs, I will admit, it seemed to be shifting correctly. The HUGE crack in our windshield when we got it back though was not Aamco’s problem, since we couldn’t PROVE it wasn’t there when we brought the car in. What a nightmare!

Less than a week later, and the shifting problem returned. Needless to say this time we took it to the dealer.

In the end, the windshield will remain cracked until it's considered illegal or until we can afford to replace it. None of this is Aamcos problem, but Aamco sure caused many problems for us.

I took my car into Aamco transmission with a check engine light on and my transmission would get stuck in 2nd gear (auto trans) Chrysler calls it limp mode for diagnostic and repair. I told them to check all harnesses (picktails) and sensors because this is a common...

I also took my car to the Mesa location and what happened to you sounds EXACTLY as what happened to me. They got me for $2000.00 after a "rebuild" of the trans and the car was still doing the same thing it was before the work......After all said and done, NEVER was the trans, was the tensioner!

Word of advise, I have filed a formal complaint with the state att generals office. I have several attorneys on the case now.

AAMCO has just plain LIED and CHEATED us twice. We were foolish enough to give them the benefit of the doubt the second time. We took our car in the first time to get a tune up they sent us to another AAMCO claiming they couldn't do the tune up at that time but had...
