Arrived for my scheduled appointment and the counter person states he does not have it on the schedule and can not do the work until next week. I drove a hour to make the appointment. The only redponce from the counter person was I can reschedule next week, but the special ends today. I ask to speak to the owner and he stated "I am the owner". Horrible customer service and no care for customers.

They were very rude. Did not get it done by the first ETA or even the second ETA. Lost rearview mirror and messed up my bumper (now hanging down). Never returned any phone calls. I was constantly lied to. I will never use AAMCO again. Had a really good experience with...

Charged for a rebuilt transmission when the problem was a brake issue | Aamco review from Mesa, Arizona

My wheels locked up on my 2003 Subaru Forrester and was charged 2000.00 for a supposed transmission. Had the vehicle towed to Aamco on Country Club in Mesa for diagnostics. They stated that they would need to charge 500.00 to pull the transmission. I asked if it was a transmission issue they said yes. Picked up vehicle 2 weeks (apx) later and left after paying 1000.00 cash and financing 1000.00 Took vehicle back to Aamco after the problem persisted only to find it was a spring connected to the brakes called hill assist. They fixed the problem with the spring but did nothing to alleviate the 2000.00 charged initially. Each time I called spoke to Tony.

Failure to repair | Aamco review from Phoenix, Arizona

When the linkage failed on the transmission that Trans Action total car care experts fixed on 10/17/2012. I took it to be fixed and they told me that "The linkage is not part of the transmission" He then started going on about "When you buy (something) something else isn't part of the original something". Like that has anything to do with him trying to cheat me out of the cost of the repairs for his inferior job on the repair of the transmission that is supposed to be under warranty. This whole operation is a rip off and I was treated like a fool.

Customer | Aamco review from Surprise, Arizona

The surprise az AAMCO store provided poor service and tried to charge me for same action i paid 1999.00 for. I had leakage and burning smell, took back to AAMCO, repaired the leaky seals and later vibration felt. Returned to AAmco and they stated a carried bearing was broke. I asked them to produce the part, they stated they had no idea where it went, i then proceeded to the dealer, i found poor workmanship on AAMCO part. it took AAMCO almost a week to repair and Dealer one day. I tried calling customer service and have yet to receive a call back. I will never recommend aamco to repair anything. unlike Big O i been a loyal customer for 15 year. To bad one apple will spoil a whole bunch, i have divert 26 customers by informing them of AAMCO's service.

Scamco aka Aamco
So I took my 98 Dodge Durango in to have my transmission checked because it was slipping when I turned left....mind you my vehicle ran fine prior to this other than the minor slip. Well I pull out of Aamco and my truck completely dies in the middle of on coming...

It happened because they didn't tighten your oil filter after it was removed during installation ....your engine shut off because it had no oil pressure...I am sure you already know all this....these things happen when mechanics get too busy to re check their work.

Sounds like you are the one trying to take advantage of Aamco.

You know your cuz is is a regular consumer, not a commercial customer and so does Aamco.

I do not live in Whg and have no connection to that or any other Aamco store

Never had problems with my vehicle until aamco worked on it!!! aamco

tempe arizona my car was running fine but I decided to have the safegaurd check done to my vehicle $59.00 when it was said and done $203.86.The extra cost was labor because my vehicle was hard to work on-so they said. The problem started about a week later,I left on vacation and the vehicle sat for a few weks while I was away, the day I got back there was a puddle under the vehicle, transmission fluid. The very next day I took the vehicle back to them and figured maybe something was not tightened correctly, only to have the guy come back out and say the problems were numerous and it was nothing they had done and it would be about $1900.00 to repair! My question to them was why did`nt they catch the faults in the first place and why did it leak only after they worked on it,and how does it fall apart sitting idle?

I would sue in small claims court, it might not go anywhere but sometimes just suing is worth the $75 to drive home a point to irresponsible idiots like this.

Shops like AAMCO think they can work on cars with a McDonalds mentality and don't even hire people that know what they are truly doing in most cases.
