I am in the same boat. My transmission went out the first time a year and a half ago, a year after that it went out again and now 5 months late it went out for a 3rd time.

I almost wrecked my car do to it taking off in speed then it can't go into park or *** gears. Mind you the did repair it free the second time and I hope it will be the same this time.

It is shotty work and every time it gets worked on it takes close to a month to fix and a month without my van I have 4 children to get places and a job. Its extremely upsetting

Aamco review in Lafayette, Colorado: Ford Ranger transmission repair misdiagnosed, $2,800 lost

Took my Ranger in to Aamco with a noise, asked if it was a transmission problem, they said "yes" need a total rebuild. Will cost $1,800 - $2,500. Went to pick it up and cost was $2,800, I said "what?", they said "+ tax of course, EVERYBODY pays tax". Whatever, paid the bill and realized then noise was still there. Did my own diagnosing and the noise was from a $25 broken anti-sway bar bracket. Went back really upset, the owner repaired that for free and gave me a free 3 year warranty, after 3 years the overdrive stopped working. Go figure. I will NEVER go to Aamco! Support local repair shops, do your homework of course!

Aamco review in Colorado Springs, Colorado: Charged for new parts that turned up original

I had AAMCO on Chelton loop in Colorado Springs replace my clutch. I made it 1/2 mile before one of the lines came off leaving me stranded. It has been 2 years now and I have lost all clutch. I Took it to another shop and they say that slave cylinder was bad. Turns out it was never replaced but my bill shows that it was. I have had leaking problems from the master cylinder as well which I never had before they worked on it.I was charged for parts and labor that I did not receive. Beware

After 3 AAMCO centers, my car isn't fixed

I had my car's trasmission replaced at the Cave Creek AAMCO location in Phoenix. The day after it was fixed I headed out for a move to Colorado unfortunately, the vehicle barely made it to Flagsaff, Arizona just two hours away. The vehicle was leaking transmission fluid and smoking. Luckily, there was an AAMCO in Flagstaff. It turned out the gasket was leaking and needed to be replaced. I don't feel my vehicle was properly fixed and cared for in Phoenix. Once, the gasket was replaced I was told to go on my way to Denver and not worry about any problems. Again, the car was leaking transmission fluid and I had no choice but to drive on to Denver. Once I was in Denver I literally pulled into my driveway and the car died. Apparently the gasket did not seal properly. Now, they've had my car for a week and it's still not fixed. I'm out 3 grand and still don't have a working vehicle!!!!

AAMCO caused more damage than they fixed!

This is a copy of an email i sent, i could not put the pictures in here but i have a 2001 4x4 F-150. This is what they did to my truck! Alot of pics, i know. the 1st one is were they cut my exsaust in half, 2nd shows one of the transmision leaks, 3rd another transmision leak, 4th yet another transmision leak, 5th a torched off bolt for a braket to hold up the exsaust, 6th broken boot at bottom of shifter, 7th how i found the shifter, 8th the 3 bolts you see still have the plastic were they were broken off from the bottom of the boot, 9th missing radio, 10th damage done to dash when radio was taken out, 11th hard to see damage to wires, 12th over view of broken braket, cut exsaust pipe and one of three leaks, 13th were i found the 2 missing bolts, 14th and last a close up to prove they are infact transfer case bolts. the manager told me that it was the first time he ever had anything stolen out a vehicle on his lot, when i picked up the truck one of the mechanics took me down to unlock the gate and he said it was quite common to have stuff stolen out of that lot. when i took the two bolts into the manager he said they did not come from the transmision or t-case, but lol he called a mechanic in to tell him to go look at the other damages to my truck and he told both me and the manager they are defanatly t-case bolts. this is all after the manager laughed at me when i told him that the radio and a satalite signal meter was stolen out of my truck and i am looking into it but i dont think he actually filled the insurance report like he said he did. they wanted to fix it at aamco but i dont really want them to touch my truck again! Also the whole time i delt with them they were very rude. the store i went to was at 3310 N. chelton loop colorado springs, co.
