Update by user Aug 12, 2011

The Manager called this morning and apologized for not calling back and keeping me in the dark about the pick-up time. He sent out one of the mechanics to pick me up, but the mechanic went to the wrong address. I had to go outside and look for the vehicle and flag...

Amcco transmissions is the worst service provider company and they conduct dishonest business. | Aamco review from Venice, Florida

when I brought my truck with just a braket support broken they let me go home and supposely they scaned my transmission founding too many codes that could demage my trainy. after they gave one price at the end I finished paying like if I were buying a new transmission. well after the owner said that they changed too many parts of the transmission, parts that I never saw, I finished with a big oil leaking in the garage of my car. so just be careful with this kind of unetical busines this guys are doing in severals states. be away from them!

Ripped me off! | Aamco review from Jacksonville, Florida

I brought my car to Aamco in Orange Park, Fl to have my air conditioning fixed. No cold air on drivers side was my complaint. After a few hours I was told there were no leaks and I was not low on refrigerant and all parts were working properly so it had to be my AC controller. Part $620 and less than $100 in labor. Scam! When I got my car back, no change so I brought it back to them. After a day they said they forgot to reflash the computer. I now had cold AC for 3 days and right back to nothing so I brought it back again. This time I now have a leak? $180 more and they will recharge it with a stop leak. Might last a year-might not. No thanks. I payed $800 and still have the same problem I started with. Dont use Aamco!

Aamco

Took my car in for the Free AC inspection since it wasn't working. They told me that they found the problem it would only be $100-150 but would need the car for 2 hours. Dropped it off the next day and they called 20 minutes later saying "bad news" you need a new fuse box and wiring for a new price of over $400! I told them how could it have gone from $100-150 to over $400 just like that! I told them do not touch it and came and got it. I had a buddy of mine who know's AC and said it was the computer system in that there was too much Freon so it kicked the system off at the fuse box. He took a screwdriver and let some Freon out and problem solved. Got ice cold air working fine. Had nothing to do with a fuse box or wiring. I called Aamco back to tell them how pissed I was and the guy at the front desk said sorry my mechanic simply missed that....how many times a day to they miss stuff!! Complete and utter THEIVES they are at Aaamco!!

Terrible experience. Do not take your car here. Gross misconduct and fraud with diagnosis. Drove in car on May 23rd and it was towed out 3 weeks later. They could not fix the problem and made 3 repairs along the way that cost $3,000. Here is what is filed with Better...

Can not speak More Kindly about Aamco in Tampa. There is reason they won Customer Service Award.

One anonymous Pissed Off Customer should not even be given credence. Probably written by a competitor.

So my transmission went into limp mode on March 6th, 2011. I called around and AAMCO did a FREE inspection. I dropped it off to AAMCO on March 7th, 2011. When Darryl, at AAMCO (2810 Cortez Rd W. Bradenton, FL 34207) called me back after the free inspection, he...

I was very pleased at Aamco Transmission. They fixed my car .

I was very pleased at Aamco Transmission they were very nice people. This is the best that my car has run in years. They took me home when they worked on my car and picked me up when it was done. I would recommend anyone to go there for there auto repair or transmission work. There are warranties offered and also if you go online there are coupons to help pay for the cost. Not sure why people bash a good service when they walk into the shop for help. That is what they are there for. You have to remember you pay for what you get.

ok i have returned from haitus, i have posted on aamco before. this person is a company *** reality is, AAMCO is a rip off, i have worked for a few transmission shops, and there are more bad ones than good ones.

AAmco is the dregs of the business. the business model is 5x parts, thats how the arrive at their total price. the RDI (remove disassemble inspect) fee is a trap, its a TRAP! if they think you might not get the work done, they go "high pull" which means a higher than normal price to pull it so you are in too deep to back out.

its a FULL RETAIL business model. and the RDI if you decline work is to be paid in CASH ONLY, so you cant cancel a check, or dispute on your credit card later.

you have to sue them, and you will lose, as you agreed to the charge up front. thats the mentality, once you are in, and your transmission is out of the car, you are screwed, and its gonna cost you big.

AAMCO Sarasota and Jim Cosby’s Team is one of the best car care guys I have met in my life. Whenever you avail yourself of a car transmission warranty, you should extract out the complete details and terms and conditions mentioned in it.

The competition is strong no doubt but nationwide warranty applies to all the workshops equally. So, there must be some misunderstanding regarding the information that was supplied to you.

AAMCO 12901 Dixie Hwy, Louisville Kentucky has promised to have my truck fixed 4 days ago. The office Manager promises to call me about the status....it never happens. I must call him. It started August 17, 2010 on a Tuesday when I called AAMCO to get an idea about...

Well, it is well past the SECOND install of another rear axle for my truck. (Over $600.00 cost to me again) This one seems to cause the engine to work harder for which raises the temperature of the engine. Another mechanic looked at it and said it has drag in the axle.Of course my brakes still don't work any better either, not the back brakes. I don't get it with the Corporate office. They really aren't concerned with what the "Customer" has to say about the services and worked performed.

Lesson highly expensively LEARNED.

I am not sure What if any Warranty is there now, shall I dare even try to get results on this axle?

I guess what it comes down to is....I needed in a case during a family emergency....800 miles from my home.....and learned from the whole experience the hard way. $1900.00 worth - plus.
