Reason of review
These are the guys that give auto mechanics a bad name! I Can't say enough bad things about this place. My car broke down unfortunately near this Aamco Auto Repair station on Lee Road and I was forced to push my car into their parking lot one evening. The next...
Un needed repairs | Aamco review from Orlando, Florida
Took my truck in for hard shifting into gears after a few miles warming up, they said they needed to diagnose the issue, 'OK professional oppion" after diagnosis ah the torque converter may be bad wont know till we open in up, their diagnosis led them to believe it had to be opened up, so 700 dollars labor later their were 3 electrical componants bad and torque conveter so at this point stuck with rebuild, so although was not ready for that, i figued at least its rebuilt and got many more years to drive it with warranty, so finall bill was 2750, then heading home after a few miles the same problem I came there with was still there, now i'm PISSED, took it back now they say it could be an electrcal issue, my problem in this situation is what happen to the professional diagnosis in the first place, it could have been a simple electrical issue all along not a 2700 rebuild if they even rebuilt it!
Aamco transmission repairs..... not!
I paid 3600.00 for a transmission at Aamco in Merritt Island, FL and 9 months later the vehicle won't move. I was told that the "warranty" was 12 months or 12,000 miles. Since it would not go, I was told to take it to Aamco in Titusville,FL. I was told they "felt" bad and would only charge me $495.00 to remove it and diagnose. It went up to $695.00 a day later (apparently that "bad" feeling dissipated overnight). I am now being told it will cost me another 3400.00 to repair the transmission again. $7000.00 for a vehicle worth 6,000? Doesn't anyone have any ethics and/or morals? What does one do? Beware of AAMCO!!!!!
