Wripped Off | Aamco review from Humble, Texas
Me and my husband brought my 2007 chevy cobalt to the AAMCO Transmission at 1904 East FM 1960 BYPASS Humble,Tx 77338 to correct the problem with the engine light being on.The Owner Jay Streckfus kept my car for three and a half weeks without correcting the problem. We had to call him to get an update on it and the lady Sharon and him would give us the run around. When we went to get my car me and my husband ask the mechanic which of them worked on my car and they would say to talk with jay.He act as if he correct the problem but he didn't he also lied and said he change the oxygen sensor my husband looked under the hood and saw the lie he told us as if we were *** or something. We want our refund back because he didn't correct it and don't feel comfortable going there with all the lies that was told to us.Not to mention keeping my car for almost a month and if we wouldn't have call he was not bothering to call us.My husband ask him to show us the parts the mechanic so call took off and he gave us a lame excuse that the mechanic did away with it.We called the corporate office and talked with a Ms. Smith and sent her information pertaining to my car on 8-23-2013 and now awaiting on a response. We really need you to intervene I'm afraid to drive my car i believe they did something to the transmission because it jerks while driving and when i come to a stop it wasn't like that before. Our name is Mr.Kerry&Sandra Patton (832)499-2168 or(832)499-2169.
I heard about the no credit check financing offered by Aamco. I took my truck in when my newly rebuilt transmission started slipping again after taking back to the original shop where it sat for 4 weeks before being corrected. I was afraid that the additional repairs...
I went to the Aamco on Camp Bowie in Fort Worth Texas for an oil change. While changing my oil the "mechanic" said he looked at my Timing Belt and it was about to break. I asked if it was safe to drive home (0.8 of a mile). He said he wouldn't allow his daughter...
AAMCO took our money and flushed it! Twice
We have had problems with our truck since we got it but while stationed in Florida our transmission went out on us. We took it to AMMCO in Fort Walton Beach only because we figured with it being a well-known name it would be better. They "fixed it" and after only a few weeks it was slipping again. We took it back and they said there's nothing wrong with it even though the check engine light was on. They just reset the light and off we went. We then got stationed in Texas,we started having some issues shortly after we got here which was only a few months after getting it fixed. We took it to one AAMCO and was told there was nothing wrong with it. My husband isn't a certified mechanic but he has done his fair share of car repairs which has included a transmission replacement and engine rebuild both successful so it's not like we didn't know what was going on. Well, surprise surprise 0ur transmission went out 15 months after it was "fixed" we took it to another AAMCO here. They were apologetic and said they would fix the problem and make a complaint to the headquarters and maybe even get our money back for the bad work that was done (laughable). We also had a problem with the transfer case the Fort Walton Beach AAMCO didn't put it back in right after they inspected it and so it was leaking, and had missing bolts or stripped out bolts. We asked this AAMCO to fix it, they said they did, we were charged for it (which the guy denied) and it is worse now than when it was broken. My husband tried to test the 4 wheel drive and it made a loud clunking/grinding noise. Well needless to say it is now sitting in the shop after less than a month because they didn't do everything they charged me for. I brought my truck there ten days ago so they could fix the transfer case - a two, maybe three-day job. I am still without a truck!
AAMCO took advantage of a widow ,and lied
I stopped at Aamco ,in Humble on 1960 in May. My car was jumping when I started off and my check engine light was on. I had my 87 year old mother with me ( my dad 92, was in the hospital) I needed not to get stranded some place so I trusted Aamco to be honest with me. Jay told me he would put it on the machine and do a free check. 30 min's after we arrived he comes in the waiting area and says" Good news...all it needs is the transmission flushed and that would cost 195.00...I said ...Are you sure that is all that is wrong? and hesitated because of the 195.00...He said.." I'll tell you what...if that doesn't fix it "Ill give it to you for free!"...I said then OK...! 1 hour later he comes back in the area and said well that didn't work...BUT I STILL HAVE TO CHARGE YOU...He said he would then give me the 195. off of pulling the transmission...But he could not tell me how much then we would be talking about. NOW I DO NOT TRUST HIM AT ALL AND FELT HELPLESS IN A MANS WORLD....BUT he flat out lied about doing the work for free...IS THIS THE WAT AMMCO TREATS ALL IT'S WOMEN CUSTOMERS THAT ARE WIDOWS.

Sold "super saver" certificates and refuse to honor | Aamco review from Houston, Texas
I never heard about AAMCO until I purchased a deal on groupon, it was 40 for 5 oil changes, good deal. When I made my purchase, I think there were at least 3000 ppl who have also bought this. So I went through much trouble contacting them to send me the certificate thing, after finally receiving it in the mail, I called to make an appointment, only to find out they were "no longer accpepting the groupon or whatever thing", this is within two weeks of the purchase. They didnt apologize, only told me to deal with groupon to get my money back. They did offer to give me an oil change for $30 (I can get it for 24 at a toyota dealership), after I told them no thank you, they just hung up. I think they are only using groupon as cheap advertisement and never honored the deal at all, just to get some thousands of people to notice their existance. Thank God I never went! Now I never will.
STAY AWAY FROM AAMCO
I had my transmission rebuild in 2/10. Three months after services, I notice a little fluid on the ground. I brought my car back to Aamco in 5/10, 8/10 & 12/10 same reason and was told maybe too much fluid. 5/2011 I went in again spoke to a Manager, and explained all above. He told me it was a leak from the transmission (axel??) and he would have it fixed under the warranty since this was an on-going problem. 5/21/2011 told me I had to pay at least half for my services!! y
The transmission in my van died. I contacted my mechanic who informed me he does not deal with transmissions but recommended AAMCO. He's never done us wrong so I went with it. I wish I had looked into them more though. I had them tow my van on a Tuesday. They have...
My vehicle is a 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier with 140,000 miles on it. The transmission was in need of rebuild. If I had known the shoddy service I would receive from AAMCO at 5851 East McKellips Rd. in Mesa, Arizona, I would have not have brought it in. I would have...
