"I don't like your *** mouth, get out. You just came here to call me a liar." The last words I heard from Damian before he stormed out of his office and went to hide in the work bays. I had taken my son's Murano in to have the oil changed and ended up losing the...

Unnecessary repair recommendations | Aamco review from Spokane, Washington

I experienced an issue with my car recently and thought it was transmission related. I've been a regular customer at a local Aamco service center for years so I naturally took my car there for evaluation. It was recommended that I have an "rdi" performed, a service that would cost around $2000. It's an older car and I don't have that kind of money so I decided to get a second opinion. I did some internet research and chose another transmission shop that had some excellent customer reviews. After a diagnosis and road test they told me that it was definitely not a transmission problem and that what my car needed was a tuneup. I scheduled an appointment and had a tuneup and transmission service performed. My total cost was $120. I also had them double check for other problems that the Aamco shop told me the car had and in both cases either the problems were non-existent or were not as bad as I had been told. Needless to say I will no longer be taking my car to Aamco for anything. They have lost a good customer!

Very bad service | Aamco review from Seattle, Washington

I took my car (Toyota Corolla) to AAMCO at Auburn, Washington for fixing my front brakes since I got a coupon from AMAZON LOCAL. They said it will take 2-3 hours for replacing the brakes so I left my car and came back after 2 hours. When I arrived it was already fixed and they said ready to go. Besides the coupon they charged me $11.49 for replacing the rotors. They didn't called me before replacing it so not sure whether they actually replaced it. Anyway when I drove back home I was hearing loud grinding noice and it was so annoying. So I went back to AAMCO and they said this is normal when you replace brakes and it will go away soon. But that was not the case, I was hearing noice again even after driving several miles. The next day I took my car to the toyota dealer and asked them to fix this and they charged me $199. I called Amazon local about this problem and they told me they will refund the coupon amount. Not sure about $11.49 AAMCo charged for rotors??Is the rotors so cheap? I will have to investigate about this.....never even go to AAMCO again...

eh, i worked at that AAMCO many years ago, all AAMCO's are a trap, i quit, and a while later it burned down, crooked, i should say a considerably more crooked than usual owner burned it down for the insurance. Reality is, they will squeeze you for every dime they can get, its the AAMCO way.

Also anwicurn is right, your spelling is atrocious, but i suspect you posted this when you were highly pissed and you anger made your fingers do bad things. If you ultimately got your car fixed, thats more than most can say, so feel lucky there.

Aamco NE 82nd in Portland lied

I took my car in because of a check engine light. They said it was the throttle body control unit. I told them to order the part and do it. When they called to say the repair was complete, they said FYI the car is now kicking out a code that the throttle body needs to be repaired. I said that I thought this was what they repaired. No, they put on a new pedal! They charged me for an hour and fifteen minutes for two bolts. It wasn't even the repair that they were supposed to be doing.

Incompetent! Charged a fortune failed to do job correctly | Aamco review from Olympia, Washington

Aamco charged my boyfriend $4500 to rebuild his transmission. The first time I drove in the truck after the supposed repair it did a "tranny slam." I don't know a lot about cars but I recognize a tranny slam. He took it back in and they drove it for 2 minutes and told him there was nothing wrong and not to worry because he had a 3 year warranty. He took the truck back in 3 times and each time they turned him away. Then that Aamco shop went out of business. He wasn't worried because Aamco is a corporation. He was sure that they would stand behind their work! Well he was certainly WRONG about that! He took it in and they told him he was over his mileage and they could not honor the warranty!! Now he will have to pay another $4500 to get another transmission because the so called "transmission experts" did a shoddy job and did not stand behind their work!! It was never about honoring the warranty!! The job was never done CORRECTLY!! He spoke to the Aamco Corporation explaining that the job was never right and they said "TOO BAD-YOU ARE OVER YOUR MILEAGE"! Aamco is incompetent and does not care to stand behind the claim of being the "transmission experts" DO NOT GO TO Aamco!!!
